AMELIA JOHNSON
Mia launched Amelia Johnson Design in January of 2015, following her studies at KLC School of Design in London. She began her professional career in fashion, working at Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, and Lilly Pulitzer, where she gained an appreciation for textiles and use of color.
As a child, her father’s blueprints from his residential building firm surrounded Mia and sparked her passion for beautifully designed homes and spaces. After moving to London in 2013 and finding inspiration through her travels to Europe, Africa, and Asia, Mia embarked on a new path and went back to school to further broaden her interior design background.
Mia relishes the experience of discovering individual pieces for a home as much as designing the actual space. Her goal is to make her clients love where they live; she relies on color and unique prints and textures to create her inspiring spaces. Pulling from a variety of sources and pieces from different periods, Mia brings a unique energy to every room she designs. She seamlessly incorporates beauty with function; making her spaces suitable for any age or lifestyle.
Mia is a graduate of Trinity College. She recently returned to her hometown of Fairfield, CT after three years abroad.
